Illinois, and especially Chicago, is in a constant state of change and development. From new real estate structures to beautifying our roads, construction workers and construction zones seem to be present every few blocks. Despite caution signs and orange cones, many people are careless when it comes to the safety of construction workers. In fact, road construction workers often die at the hands of these careless drivers, making it the second highest cause of fatalities on the job.
As if that wasn’t enough to keep a construction worker up at night, they also have to worry about other dangerous conditions. Due to the close proximity in which multiple employees work, plus the presence of large equipment, a construction worker has to remain highly alert at all times. The fear of being caught between moving equipment, getting run over by large construction vehicles, and overexertion from the job itself, can result in injuries that could be fatal. Almost 150 construction employees are hurt every day, making it one of the most dangerous jobs in the America.
The Law Offices of Dworkin & Maciariello take pride in representing these hardworking people of Illinois. Daily they rise to the occasion and do the tough work most would never dare. If you know a construction worker that needs help after a work-related injury, please give them our information today!
